Welcome to Caledonia a quaint little town in the middle of everywhere. The area offers many opportunities to explore nature at its best with lakes & streams for the fisherman and Kejimkujik National park. only 15 km away.

Even though it feels like the middle of nowhere we do have services, conveniences and even a gas station so you can always get home.

If the outdoors is what your all about you will find miles of lakes and rivers just waiting to be explored. Whether its canoeing or kayaking rentals are close at hand at Jake's Landing. There are also many miles of trails to be hiked or traveled by ATV if you so desire.

KEJIMKUJIK LAKE

Although we aren't strangers to a good time probably the only party animals you'll see are swinging in the trees.

As for sleeping outdoors .... if your looking to leave the tents and the trees to the wildlife we have a comfy bed waiting.

Check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am unless staying more than one night.

The cost is only $20/person for shared rooms

$45 for a private room.

Sheets are provided and towels are available upon request.

We ask that no sleeping bags or sleeping sheets be brought into the hostel so we can keep the critters outdoors!

If you are looking for history Caledonia has a heritage house

or you could make a day trip to Annapolis Royal which is less than 1 hr away and if you are looking for the best scallops in the world then take a trip to Digby which is less than a half hr from Annopolis Royal.

Our cozy kitchen is great for preparing your meals the way you like them when you like them.

There is most everything you could need including

a BBQ on the deck just off the kitchen.

If you need food or drink there is a grocery store and liquor store within walking distance. If you prefer not to cook then Donair World and Pizza is open year round and from May to October Lakeview Resturant and dairy bar is open.

After dinner relax in the comfortable common room to unwind and recall the days events or share stories with other guests

Or plan your next days adventure and if the feeling grabs you catch up on the evening news.

Harmony Park is the place to stop if you are looking to stretch your legs and take a break from driving. Harmony Park has lots of fun things to do. It has two baseball diamonds, a tennis court, some basketball hoops, and a mile long walking trail through the pines. There is even a local pool to cool off at the North Queens Aquatic Centre on our hot inland days .
